How fast is "Full Speed"?

Most Snap Broadband plans are fullspeed download, this means that you can get speeds of up to 18Mbps on ADSL2+ compatible hardware, there are however, a few factors which affect this.

Environmental factors generally play the largest part in what speed you can get. This includes things like the Distance from your exchange and the line quality of your actual phone line.

Where you are trying to download content from can also affect the speed, for example New Zealand sites will be faster than International sites.

Regardless of this it's still a safe bet to say that in most areas you should be able to get speeds of at least 2Mbps, which is still 40x faster than dialup speed.
